Email us at AskSandV@gmail.com Q I have an Integra DHC-80.3 preamp/processor with Audyssey MultEQ XT32. Reading the manual, I learned that I should set the speaker crossover to 80 Hz because Audyssey recommends that speakers are ALWAYS set to Small when there is a subwoofer in the system. This apparently allows for proper bass management and more.
MultEQ Pro does not increase the resolution. It gives the 4 benefits listed in the first post. The filter resolution depends on the processor in the AVR. It is where the filters have to run ultimately and so they will be XT or XT32 depending on which AVR you have. It is possible to EQ two different sub channels with the BFD but it is very cumbersome; I tried it and gave up. Pro does that for you automatically (well, so does XT32). Then there is the custom curve editor - lets you choose what FR rolloff or boost you want, rather than the pre-programmed ones in XT32 Powered by Xenforo, Hosted by Nimbus Hosting, Original design Critical Media Ltd. Audyssey always takes things too far for my ears. Nothing is that flat in the studio. When an installer begins to go through the Audyssey Sound Equalizer measurement routine the first packet of data he feeds into the MultEQ Pro's memory is the speaker task-name such a left-front, center, etc. (The installer will have already defined the size of the room [length, width and height] on a previous screen within MultEQ Pro). While it is taking distance information MultEQ Pro will also take the first 200 milliseconds of phase and frequency data and place the information into the i.e. "left-front" folder.
